Through conscious movement of the physical body, the process of inward connection can help one feel alive, grounded, connected and open up a world of possibility within. It is with this knowledge that we help individuals re-establish a strong connection to their bodies, and so begin a journey to discovery their true Self.
Utilising a range of different tools; yoga, meditation, mindfulness and breathwork, conscious movement can be a door way to manage and decrease stress, manage and process emotions, and create shifts in thought processing. From a state of calm and balance, we can unlock the potential that lies deep within - an authentic and open version of self that finds joy in the journey that we call life.
Our Focus
Youth Educational Programs
We are taught how to read and write, the history of the world, but it expected that we understand our body, our mind, and have the skill set to process our emotions. Self Founded programs for secondary schools looks at developing self-awareness through movement, teaching skills to manage stress and to teach ways to create a sense of wellness.
Hatha Yoga
Self Founded facilitates the ancient practice of Hatha yoga, a beautiful and gentle practice that offers the gentle opening of the body and strengthening of spirit. Suited for the beginner to the well practised, the traditional sequence of Gita Yoga and its potential depth is held in each individuals approach and intention to their practice. It can be for a journey of understanding and self-compassion.
Youth Focussed Yoga
With so much rapid change within our world, it's important that the youth of today are resilient and adaptable to change. Youth yoga teaches one to feel comfortable in their bodies and gain confidence within themselves.
One on One
Facilitated by Self Founded creator, Madelaine shares her gifts of intuition and practicality with a gentle and compassionate approach. Regardless of intention, 1:1 work is a beautiful journey that has been fruitful for many.
It’s a joy to start the workday in a well-being session that encourages us to reflect, prepare, stretch and strengthen. Maddy gives clear instructions and makes it possible for new people to feel safe while regulars feel challenged. I absolutely recommend Maddy as an experienced, charming and calming instructor. Madelaine is trained through Gita International School of Yoga (900+), with deep experience teaching a range of different students; from teens, to corporate, to parents and the pregnant and those in drug and alcohol rehabilitation - all have given her faith in the process of yoga and developing meaningful student-teacher relationships.
